Love, lust, relationships – A Sneak peek into my first novel.

The thing about love or relationships is that it always starts with lust. Hard as it may seem to accept, that is the truth. As teenagers when confronted about ones love, one would have simply claimed or even cried , “No I have never seen him/her that way (that way here represents lust). Its true to the GOD love, where we don’t see each other that way. We love each other truly” . And its obvious that one, as a teenager, claimed it that way because of the fact that society fed us the constant thought that ‘Lust is evil!’. For everyone, when one was thirteen or fourteen, true love meant that they don’t touch, kiss or make love with each other.

As people grow up they understand the fact that ‘Lust is an integral part for a love to succeed’. There is no love without lust. Sex is not something to be considered gross. Its just an expression of love and its okay to look at ones partner and say that they are sexy. That is not objectification. Its a compliment. But the definition of sexy varies from person to person.

Morgan was also that teenager then. He used to believe that the purest form of love is one in which there is not touching or making out. He was so into superstitions then, that he hesitated to touch Elaine. This might have been probably one of the reasons why his relationship with Elaine failed. But now that he is over that and that he has grown up, his perspective about love, lust and relationships had changed vastly. He was open to discussions and criticisms about everything.

He also read a lot about sex and sexual relationships. Recently he was reading ‘ The Art of Seduction’ by Seema Anand. And he was convinced that there is more to love making than what’s being shown in all those porn videos. He was in his transition period now. He was growing up from a boy to a man.

The thing that hadn’t changed about Morgan was the fact that he loved simple women. While peeping at all passers by during the lunch time, every one of his friend usually looked for trim, stylish, modern and the so called not so stereotypical women or the one homely conservative woman or the ones that have that sand clock shaped waist. But Morgan had a different eye. He liked ladies with simple taste. He liked women who are themselves rather than who tries hard to look better. It might have been one of the contributing factors for his love for Elaine, who was so busy being herself that she had no time for looking perfect and impressing others.

Note from the author : I couldn’t reveal the name of the novel. But I hope this gives some information about the kind of work I’m doing. Stay Tuned for more updates. I am working!
